Our native integration with Zapier gives you the possibility to easily create a simple, yet highly efficient Transactional NPS campaign with customers from your Shopify store.
To get started follow this short step-by-step tutorial:
Access your Zapier account and create a new zap. Start with choosing Shopify as your Trigger app.
Next, you'll have to choose a specific trigger you want to track. This trigger will be the transaction that will deploy the NPS survey to customers. Let's choose New paid order for now.
The next steps will ask you to connect your Shopify store and test the selected trigger. Once you've done that, move to the Action section and choose Retently as your action app.
You will be given a couple of actions, choose Create customer and send survey. This action means that every time a customer hits the trigger, which in our case is New paid order, then he will be automatically imported to Retently and surveyed immediately. However, if you already have that contact in Retently, then he will simply get surveyed without being added the second time.
On the next step you will be asked to connect your Retently account. Click on Connect an Account and a pop-up window will ask you to authorize Retently.
The next step is highly important so make sure you double check all the info. You will have to edit your zap template.
The first thing you should do is choose an active Transactional NPS campaign from your Retently account. Next, map the email address of your contacts and you can map additional optional data.
Next, you will be given the possibility to attach specific tags to the customers that enter your campaign. This step is optional but highly recommended if you want to be able to filter your customers in Retently and your NPS data based on customer tags/segments.
You can click on the tags field and choose one of your existing tags from Retently, or you can scroll down the list and choose the Use a custom value option. The Custom value will give you the possibility to assign new tags to contact that will enter this campaign.
I recommend you to add two main tags: Zapier and Shopify. But feel free to add more tags if you want to be able to narrow down your audience in Retently.
And finally, you'll have to test your Action step and enable your Zap.
