Our native integration with Zapier gives you the possibility to easily create a simple, yet highly efficient Transactional NPS campaign with data from any other service you're using.
To get started follow this short step-by-step tutorial:
Access your Zapier account and create a new zap. Start with choosing a Trigger app for your customers events. For this tutorial we will be choosing Infusionsoft as an example.
Next you'll have to choose a specific trigger you want to track. Let's choose New invoice for now.
The next steps will ask you to connect your Infusionsoft account and test your trigger. Once you've done that, move to the Action section and choose Retently as your action app. You will be given a couple of actions, choose the Create customer and send survey from the list.
This action means that every time a contact hits the trigger, which in our case is new invoice, then he will be automatically added to Retently and surveyed immediately. However, if you already have that contact in Retently, then he will simply get surveyed without actually being added the second time.
On the next step you will be asked to connect your Retently account. Click on Connect an Account and a pop-up window will ask you to authorize Retently.
The next step is highly important so make sure you double check all the info. You will have to edit your zap template.
The first thing you should do is choose the email survey template you want to sent to all the contacts that will hit the selected trigger and will enter this campaign. If no survey template is selected, then your contacts will be simply imported to Retently and no surveyed will be sent at all.
Next, map the email address of your contacts.
After that you'll can set some tags. This step is optional but highly recommended if you want to be able to filter your customers in Retently and your NPS data based on customer tags/segments.
You can click on the tags field and choose one of your existing tags, or you can scroll down the list and choose the Use a custom value option. The Custom value will give you the possibility to assign new tags to contact that will enter this campaign.
I recommend you to add two main tags: Zapier and Infusionsoft (or the name of the service you will be using in your zap). But feel free to add more tags if you want to be able to narrow down your audience in Retently.
The next few steps are simple and only ask you to map contact's first name, last name and company name.
And finally, you'll have to test your Action step and enable your Zap.
