Zapier gives you the possibility to connect your Hubspot account and automatically import new customers based on custom scenarios and send them a transactional survey.

Import new customers

To get started you have to access your Zapier account and create a new Zap.

Choose Hubspot as your trigger app. Hubspot offers two apps in Zapier, so choose the one that fits your needs.

Next, set your trigger. Later on, customers will be added to Retently and surveyed based on this trigger.

To finish the first step you will be asked to connect your Hubspot account and test it. Once you've done that, go to the Action step and choose Retently.

When a customer triggers an event, you can set to perform one of the following actions:

  • Create customer: Only creates a new customer or updates an old customer in Retently.
  • Create customer and send survey: Creates or updates a customer and sends a survey immediately.

Next, connect your Retently account. To add a new account you will need an API token. To generate a token, please access your account and go to Settings > API > Generate new token.

After that, you will be asked to set up a template. Map the required fields with relevant data.

In the Campaign field, you will have to choose an active Transactional NPS campaign from your Retently account. Click here to learn how to *set up a transactional campaign.

* While creating a Transactional NPS campaign in Retently, do not install the transactional script into your web application. It's not needed if you intend to send surveys through Zapier.

Finally, test this step and enable your Zap.

Export NPS data to Hubspot

Zapier also gives you the possibility to export NPS data to Hubspot. Create a new Zap and this time choose Retently as your trigger app.

We offer only one general trigger "New survey response". This means that whenever you will receive a new response from a customer you can perform a specific action in Hubspot.

Important: "New survey response" trigger includes any customer response with scores from 0 to 10. To filter the responses and narrow down the received NPS data you can use Zapier filters. Click here to learn how to set up a Zapier filter.

The next couple of steps will ask you to connect a Retently account and test the trigger.

After that, choose Hubspot as your action app and select one of the various actions it supports.

Finally, edit the Hubspot action template, test the step and enable your Zap.
