By default, contacts are surveyed automatically in campaigns. However, when needed, you can send an email survey to one or more contacts.

IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that only email surveys can be sent manually, which means that you will not be able to manually schedule and trigger an in-app survey.

Survey one contact only

There are two possible ways to survey a contact manually.

From the contact's profile

You can click a contact's name (or email address if the name wasn't assigned) anywhere in your account, and you will access their profile.

In their profile, click the "Select action" menu and choose the "Send email survey" option.

Next, a popup will ask you to choose a campaign where the contact will be surveyed in. Select the needed campaign and hit the "Send survey" button.

NOTE: It's required to select a campaign as it has a survey template and our system needs to know what template should the contact received. Also, the contact's survey response will be stored in the selected campaign. When sending surveys manually, it does not matter if the contact doesn't match the campaign's audience as they will still receive the survey.

From the Audience page

You can also find the contact on the Audience page, and click the "Actions" menu from the far right side of the contact's row. Choose the "Send email survey" option from the menu.

Next, a popup will ask you to choose a campaign where the contact will be surveyed in. Select the needed campaign and hit the "Send survey" button.

Select and survey multiple contacts

If needed, you can select one or more contacts from the Audience page and survey them manually, in bulk.

To select one or multiple contacts, simply hover their name, and the checkbox will appear. Tick the checkbox and you will be able to select multiple contacts.

If you want to select all contacts on a page (with or without an applied audience filter), then you can click the main selector from the menu. This will select by default up to 20 contacts on the page.

If you want to select all contacts from the Audience page or, if you've applied an audience filter, if you want to select all contacts matching the filter, then you will need to click the main selector from the menu, which will select all the contacts on the page. Next, click the "Select all" link to select all contacts.

After you've selected the contacts that you want to survey, click the "Actions" menu, and select the "Send email survey" option.

Next, a popup will ask you to choose a campaign where the contact will be surveyed in. Select the needed campaign and hit the "Send survey" button.
