Your Dashboard shows a Last 12 Months trend widget next to the score gauge for each metric. It gives you an at-a-glance view of how your score has moved over the past year, right at the top of the page, without opening a separate report.
What the widget shows
For each metric section on your Dashboard, you'll see two widgets side by side:
The score gauge on the left, showing your current score and how it compares to the selected Compare period and your industry.
The Last 12 Months trend on the right, showing one bar per calendar month for the trailing 12 months.
Each bar is the score for that single calendar month, calculated on its own. The months are independent of each other, so a strong or weak month does not carry over into the next one.
The widget is available for every metric type Retently supports, including NPS, CSAT, CES, Star, Emoji, Thumbs, and others. You'll only see it for the metrics your account actually collects.
It covers your whole account
The Dashboard trend is account wide. It combines responses from all of your campaigns for that metric, so it reflects your overall performance rather than a single survey.
If you want the trend for one specific campaign, open that campaign's report (see below).
When the widget appears
The Last 12 Months trend is designed to show the full year, so it appears only when your Dashboard date range is set to All time.
Date range set to All time: the score gauge and the Last 12 Months trend appear side by side.
Any other date range, including Past year: the trend widget is hidden and the score gauge expands to full width.
To bring the trend back, set the date range filter to All time.
The Compare period does not change the trend
The Compare picker (30 days, 90 days, 365 days) controls only the comparison arrows on the score gauge. It does not change the Last 12 Months trend.
The trend always shows the same trailing 12 calendar months, no matter which Compare period you choose.
The Last 12 Months trend on Campaign reports
The same trend is also available on each Campaign report, scoped to that single campaign.
On a Campaign report you'll find it as a full width row beneath the existing score gauge and Rating Distribution chart. Nothing was removed from the report; the trend is simply added below.
The Campaign report version includes a switcher so you can choose how the trend is calculated:
Month only: each bar is the score for that calendar month on its own. This is the default and matches the Dashboard widget.
Cumulative: each bar includes that month plus all earlier months, so you can see the running, all responses to date score build over the year.
Unlike the Dashboard, the Campaign report trend always appears. It is not affected by a date range filter.
