These are temporary proxy email addresses automatically generated by marketplaces to protect customer privacy. While they allow platforms to forward messages between buyers and sellers, they are not permanent or valid for marketing or survey communication.
To prevent delivery errors and maintain your sender reputation, we recommend adding an audience rule in your Retently survey campaign to filter them out (more on this below).
What Are Marketplace Proxy Emails?
When a customer places an order on a marketplace, the platform may replace their real email with a generated one (for example, ending in @scs.tiktokw.us, @marketplace.amazon.com, etc.).
These proxy addresses are usually:
Temporary – they stop working shortly after the order is fulfilled
Anonymous – they mask the buyer’s actual address
