Audience Sampling

For all transactional surveys, you have the option to enable Audience Sampling. This option allows you to survey just a portion of your customers while randomly choosing who will receive a survey and who won't. The survey sample works in percentages of your audience.

Next, we will explain how this works. If you chose a sample audience of 50%, each batch of customers has a 50% chance of receiving a survey. If you send surveys to Retently through a third-party tool, such as Shopify, Zapier, Zendesk, etc., then a batch means one customer. However, if you are using something more custom or sending larger sets through the API, then the 50% chance of being surveyed won't apply to each customer but rather to each set/batch.
