With our Microsoft Teams integration, you can receive real-time survey alerts directly in your chosen Teams channels. Follow the steps below to connect the integration and start receiving notifications.

Important: If your Teams workspace requires apps to be authorized, then you will not be able to install our Teams integration.

In this case you can try the alternative solution to send the alert to a Team channel via email: https://help.retently.com/en/articles/9915061-configure-alternative-teams-alerts-via-email.

1. Connecting the Microsoft Teams Integration

There are two ways to connect the Teams integration:

  • From the Integrations page: Navigate to the Integrations page in your account and select Teams. Once connected, you'll be able to select it as an alert channel within your survey campaigns' alerts.

  • Directly from the alert setup: While creating or editing an alert in a survey campaign, you can connect Teams as an alert channel directly from the alert settings by clicking the small gear icon next to the team's selector.

2. Configuring Survey Alerts for Microsoft Teams

Once you've connected Microsoft Teams, follow these steps to configure your survey alerts:

  • Selecting a Team and Channel: After connecting the integration, select it from the list and click the "Select team" menu to pull a list of teams from your Microsoft Teams account, and select the team where you want to send alerts.

For channels, you will need to start typing the name of the channel. The integration will search for channels that match your typed keyword, displaying relevant results for you to pick from.

  • Processing time: It may take a few moments for your Teams list to load once the integration is connected, so please be patient while the system pulls this information.

  • Update data: If you've recently added a new team or channel that is not displayed, you can click the "Data reload" icon to update the list of teams and channels.

3. Important Considerations

  • Sender of the Alerts: All alerts sent to Microsoft Teams will appear as messages from the person who initially connected the integration in your account. To avoid confusion, make sure that your team is aware of this.

  • Managing Multiple Alerts: You can assign multiple Teams channels to a single alert, giving you flexibility in how and where you receive survey responses.

By following these steps, you'll be able to stay on top of your survey feedback in real-time through Microsoft Teams.
