The Tag Management page is useful if you have applied multiple tags to customers or responses manually, or imported multiple tags along with customers from other services.

On the page, you will be able to view all your customer and response tags and manage them individually or in bulk.

To access the page, open the Settings drop-down menu on the main menu of your Retently account, and click on the Tag Management option.

On the page, you can choose to view either customer or response tags by switching between the top tabs.

All your tags will be listed on the page and ordered descending starting with the most used ones. If there are too many tags and you’re having a hard time trying to find the needed one, use the search box from the top menu.

Next to each tag from the list, you will see the total number of customers/responses that it’s applied to.

Each listed tag also has an Action menu that allows you to manage it individually.

The menu includes two options:

When you select the Edit option, a dialog window will pop up, allowing you to edit a tag’s name.

When you click on Delete, one of two things can happen:

  1. If the tag you are trying to delete is applied to at least one customer/response, you will have to confirm the removal.
  2. If the tag is not applied to any customer/response, the tag will be removed immediately without your confirmation.

There are two bulk actions that you can perform on your tags:

Select at least two tags from the list and the Merge tags button will appear in the top menu. Once you’ve clicked on the button, a pop-up window will ask you to create a new tag that will replace the tags that you have selected.

When you click on delete, a pop-up window will ask for your confirmation in order to remove all the selected tags.

In Retently you can apply response tags manually, or automatically using Zapier.
